Research Interests

My main research interest is chimpanzee behaviour in the wild.  The main objective of my research is to determine behavioural variations among four  neighbouring chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes verus) communities in Cantanhez National Park, Guinea-Bissau. I assess potential drivers and implications of any inter-group cultural variations found.

I use a combination of direct and indirect methods of data collection, including camera trapping, reconnaissance walks, and direct observation.
